Sweet jammy dried plums, toasted walnuts, and a touch of whole wheat and rye flours make this loaf a flavorful variation on the traditional ciabatta. The shape is long and low, the crumb sturdy but open, the crust chewy, the texture nubbly and moist (from the flax seeds). Cut crosswise for a cheese tray and general noshing. Split length wise for building an amazing sandwich (turkey & havarti?)!
