Holiday Savory Gift Bag

Want to give an edible gift but need a little help choosing it all? Here's a lovely selection of mainly savory items (with a touch of sweet) chosen from Cathy's customers' favorites.
 
The Gift Bag, available for pickup on either Friday, December 13th or Tuesday, December 17th, includes:
 
Country Sourdough Loaf--This is a naturally leavened hearth bread with 20% whole wheat (enough to add flavor but not impair texture). The crust is chewy and crackly at the same time, the crumb is elastic and open (but not so holey that your mayo oozes out!). The flavor is lightly tangy and deep, coming from a long, slow ferment. It makes great toast, sandwiches, accompaniment for soups/salads, and general eating. (24 oz loaf)
 
Ham & Cheese Croissants--Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese and the faintest hint of honey Dijon mustard are rolled up in Cathy's handcrafted, buttery, flaky croissant dough. Deliciously savory. Serve warm with soup (tomato?) or salad for a perfect lunchtime treat. (Two large croissants.)
 
Cheddar-Onion Wine Bites --These tiny cheesy bites are a tender, shortbread-style cracker, with tangy cheddar flavor and the savory sweetness of caramelized onions. A dash of cayenne pepper, paprika, and sea salt give them a pleasant bite. They are the perfect accompaniment to drinks before a special meal, when you want something simple but unique to a whet your guests appetites and set the stage for the feasting to come!

Spicy Ginger Biscotti--Crystallized ginger, whole almonds and warm spices are combined for a very thin and elegant dipping cookie, perfect with a cup of coffee for a mid-morning treat, lovely with a glass of champagne for a light finish to a special meal. (4oz bag
 
Winter Plum Jam--Beautiful purple Idaho plums from the farmers' market are boiled down for a sweet tart jam that lights up anything you spread it on! The Winter version has been steeped with cinnamon, star ainise, ginger, black pepper and cardamom for a spiced concoction that could warm up cold winter evenings  Delicious on the Country Sourdough Loaf!
