Christmas 2024 Cookie Box

A lovely sampler featuring some of Cathy's  favorite cookies. Three each of seven different types:
 
Walnut Oreshki Cookies filled with Dulce de Leche
A traditional Russian treat, made of a walnut shortbread dough, each half pressed into special molds, baked, and then filled with either dulce de lechi. The result is a crunchy nutty cookie with a soft rich filling--delicious!
 
Raspberry LinzerTrees
Tart raspberry jam peeks out from the edges of these crisp, buttery sandwich cookies, made with a touch of lemon zest and topped with powdered sugar. 
 
Spicy Ginger Biscotti
Crystallized ginger, whole almonds and warm spices are combined for a very thin and elegant dipping cookie, perfect with a cup of coffee for a mid-morning treat, lovely with a glass of champagne for a light finish to a special meal.
 
Cherry Kreik Streusel Bars
Tart sour cherries are simmered in honey and Kriek, a cherry-flavored lambic beer, for an intensely flavored jammy filling, which sits on a buttery shortbread base. Topped with crunchy streusel. A rich bar cookie, perfect cut small and served with tea or coffee.
 
Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with Pecans and Sea Salt
Up-scale chocolate chip cookies...the brown butter adds a nutty richness amplified by the toasted pecans, and the sea salt provides a sharp contrast to the semi-sweet chocolate. A symphony of flavors. Baked to crispness with just a slight chewiness in the center.
 
Chewy Trail Mix Cookies
A soft, homey oatmeal cookies chock full of sunflower seeds, pepitas, chopped almonds, dried cherries and bittersweet chocolate chips.  A satisfying treat!
 
Cranberry-Pistachio Shortbread Cookies with Semisweet Chocolate Chips
The classic shortbread cookie--simple, crisp & buttery--is studded with dried cranberries, salted pistachios and bits of semi-sweet chocolate. Perfect for when you want "just a little something sweet".
 
Twenty-one unique cookies, a combination of crispy, soft and chewy, ready to give in a bakery box with a Nutcracker Ornament and holiday tag for you to personalize.  Available for pickup/delivery on Friday, December 13 or Tuesday, December 17th.
